Terms and house rules

Last updated September 2026.

Arrival and departure

  • Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
  • Earlier arrival or later departure may be possible — please ask in advance rather than on the day.
  • Every guest staying must be registered before occupying the apartment. This is a legal requirement for accommodation establishments in Seychelles, not a preference of ours.
  • We will ask you to sign the guest register on arrival.

House rules

  • No smoking inside the apartments. You may smoke on balconies and outdoor areas.
  • Please keep noise down between 10pm and 7am out of respect for other guests and neighbours.
  • Visitors who are not registered guests may not stay overnight.
  • Parties and events are not permitted.
  • Please switch off air conditioning when you leave the apartment.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear.

Payment and cancellation

Where you booked through Airbnb or Booking.com, that platform's payment and cancellation terms apply to your reservation. For direct bookings we will confirm terms in writing before your stay. Advance-purchase and non-refundable rates are exactly that, and are stated as such at the time of booking.

Lost property

We keep a register of items left behind and hold them for a reasonable period. Contact us on +248 2672010 or ovaseychelles@gmail.com and we'll check. Return postage is at your cost.

Privacy notice

Who we are. Oceanic View Apartments, Bel Ombre, Mahé, Seychelles. For anything in this section, contact ovaseychelles@gmail.com.

What we collect. When you check in we collect each guest's full name, nationality, dates of stay, and a photograph or scan of a passport or National Identity Card. If you give them, we also keep a booking reference, flight number, email address and phone number.

Why we collect it. Accommodation establishments in Seychelles are required to keep a register of guests. Our lawful basis is compliance with that legal obligation, not consent — meaning we cannot accommodate a guest who declines to be registered.

Who sees it. Our property staff, and any officer authorised to inspect the register. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or send it outside Seychelles other than through the ordinary operation of our hosting provider.

How it is stored. Register entries are held in a password-protected system. Identity document images are stored outside the public website and cannot be reached by a web address; access is logged.

How long we keep it. Identity document images are deleted 30 days after departure. Register entries are kept for as long as our record-keeping obligations require.

Your rights. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to the record-keeping duties above. Email us and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Seychelles Information Commission.
